SKI SCHOOL IN JÄRVSÖ

Learning to ski is both fun and developing! You will meet new friends and have a great time in the slopes at the same time.

At Järvsöbacken we offer ski school in groups, for children from the age of 3. All of our group lessons are held in Swedish however many of our instructors can speak English.

You are more than welcome to book private lessons with one of our Enligsh speaking instructors.

  • Yes, we’ll offer you a 10% discount when you book three or more private lessons! The requirement is that the lessons are for the same person/group and that the lessons are booked all at the same time.

  • You can book private lessons every day of the week. Check out our opening hours.

  • For alpine and snowboard lessons you can choose meeting point Ski center North or Bergshotellet. If you want to book cross country lessons, please choose meeting point Bergshotellet.

  • Don’t forget to pre book your ski rental and skipass online – This way you’ll get the best prices and will be ready to hit the slopes in no time!

SKI SCHOOL

We offer ski school held in Swedish running Monday-Thursday, Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday.

Our snowboard groups are also held in Swedish and they run Wednesday-Thursday or Saturday-Sunday.

You can book all of our groups at Ski center North and beginner level Snögubbar and Smygare are available at Bergshotellet.

Our ski school groups

Toddlers age 3-5 years

Introduction to skiing for toddlers. With a lot of fun and games we start off the week at the carpet lift and learn how to stop and turn. When we feel ready we will practice the button lift. Your child should be able to be without mommy and daddy for the duration of the lessons.

This is a ski school for beginners! With a lot of fun and games we start off the week at the carpet lift and learn how to stop and turn. When we feel ready we will practice the button lift. Your child should be able to be without mommy and daddy for the duration of the lessons.

This is a ski school for intermediate skiers. We continue practicing stopping and turning and riding the lift. We start off in the childrens area and when we are ready we start exploring the rest of the slopes.

This is a ski school for advanced skiers. We practice parallell turns and to get a good flow and rythm. We might even go for some adventure in the terrain!

Children age 6-9 years

This is a ski school for beginners! We practice stopping and turning and start off the week at the carpet lift in the childrens area and when we feel ready for it we continue exploring the rest of the slopes.

This is a ski school for intermediate level. Here we continue practicing turning and stopping and riding the lift.

This is a ski school for advanced skiers. We practice parallell turns and to get a good flow and rythm. We might even go for some adventure in the terrain!

This is a ski school for advanced skiers however you do not need previous experience in the terrain park. We try out the basic jumps and rails and have fun together!

Children age 10-14 years

This is a ski school for beginners! Here we learn the basics of skiing and help you develop. We start off in the children/green area.

For the intermediate skier who can already stop and turn and ride in the easier slopes. Together we continue the development and start visiting the rest of the slopes.

For the advanced skier who wishes to sharpen their technique and perhaps even visit the park.

This is a ski school for advanced skiers however you do not need previous experience in the terrain park. We try out the basic jumps and rails and have fun together!

Snowboard age 7-12 years

Try out snowboard for the first time! We learn how to find balance, ride the lifts and stopping and turning.
